South Korea and Ghana face off on Monday in a World Cup Group H soccer showdown at Education City Stadium. 

South Korea comes into this game sitting in second place in the group, having picked up one point. In the first game of the World Cup against Uruguay, it was a defensive battle that ended in a 0-0 draw. South Korea had 43 percent of the possession, but couldn’t find even a shot on net. Hwang Hee-chan is dealing with a hamstring injury, and it doesn’t look like he’s going to be able to go in this game. Son Heung-min is still dealing with an eye socket injury, but he played in the last game, and it’s expected that he’s going to be able to go again in this game. In this game, South Korea needs to push the number forward. 

On the other side of this matchup is Ghana, who sits in 4th place in the group having picked up zero points. Ghana played one of the most exciting games of the opening round against Portugal, but they ended up losing 3-2. Ghana gave up three goals after the 65th minute, but they also scored two goals after the 73rd minute. Ghana only had 38 percent of the possession and three shots on target, but they still were in the game. Mohammed Salisu started the last game, but if the team decides to do a more attacking style, there is a chance that he could be moved to the bench. Andre Ayew didn’t train with his teammates in the last training session, but it’s expected that he’s going to be able to go play in this game. 

Ghana’s defense isn’t great, and they are going to struggle to defend South Korea again here. Their offense was strong, though, and they are going to find success scoring again here. This is a game that could end in a 3-3 draw, and it wouldn’t shock me. This is going to be a high scoring affair and the over will cash.
