Leicester City and Nottingham Forest face off on Monday in an English Premier League showdown at King Power Stadium. When these two teams faced off on February 6th it was Nottingham Forest that secured the 6-1 victory. 

Leicester City currently sits in 20th place in the standings, having picked up only one point so far this season. Leicester City’s last game came against Tottenham Hotspur, and the defense was again a major issue in that game. Leicester City actually had 53 percent of the possession and seven shots on target, but it wasn’t enough because the defense was so bad. Wilfred Ndidi and Dennis Praet are both dealing with minor injuries, but they could both be able to go in this game. Jamie Vardy is someone who is expected to be moved back into the lineup, and they need his sparks here. 

On the other side of this matchup is Nottingham Forest, who sits in 19th place in the standings having picked up four points. Nottingham’s last game came on September 16th, and the defense really struggled in that game, giving up three goals on the way to a one-goal defeat. Forest actually opened up the scoring in the 11th minute, but they couldn’t get the offense going again until late, and that led to the defeat. Scott McKenna is dealing with a knee injury, and it’s not expected that he’s going to go in this game, Jesse Lingard is someone that might move into the starting lineup for this game. 

Leicester City is finally going to get their season back on the right track with a victory in this game. Nottingham Forest’s defense has just as many issues, and they are going to struggle to defend in this game.
