Brighton and Aston Villa face off on Sunday in an English Premier League showdown at Falmer Stadium. When these two teams faced off on February 26th it was Aston Villa that was able to secure the 2-0 victory.

Brighton comes into this game sitting in 6th place in the group having picked up 21 points. Last Saturday against the Wolves, the Brighton offense was quite impressive, putting up three goals and that was enough to secure the victory. After falling behind 2-1, Brighton scored two goals after the 44th minute, including one in the 83rd minute by Pascal Groß. Brighton had 72 percent of the possession and eight shots on target, so the win was earned. Jakub Moder is still dealing with a long-term knee injury and will be out for this game. Other than Moder though, this Brighton team is very healthy.

On the other side of this matchup is Aston Villa, who sits in 13th place in the group having picked up 15 points. Last Sunday against Manchester United, Aston Villa scored three goals and that was enough to secure the two goal victory. Leon Bailey opened up the scoring in the 7th minute, and they never looked back. Aston Villa had 41 percent of the possession and four shots on target. Leander Dendoncker and Jan Bednarek are both available for selection in this game, and both could move into the starting lineup. Philippe Coutinho is dealing with a thigh injury and isn’t going to be able to go in this game.

This Brighton team has a ton of confidence in their scoring, and I expect that is going to continue in this game. Aston Villa gave up only one goal against Manchester United, but they are going to struggle against the pressure of Brighton, and they will give up two or three here. Aston Villa might score a goal, but they won’t score more than that, and that will be the difference here. Back Brighton on the money line to cash.
