Napoli is welcoming Bologna to Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in round 10 of the Italian Serie A. Napoli is still undefeated in Serie A, but they no longer have all the wins. Bologna has been solid so far this season, but they have won only 1 of their last 5 games.

Napoli is no longer at the top of the table, but they have a game less than Milan, and that could change after this game. Napoli is now in 2nd place with 25 points, 19 scored goals, and only 3 conceded goals. Yes, Napoli’s offense has been impressive, but their defense has been brilliant this season, and I am quite frankly surprised by that. In their latest game against Roma, Napoli has had 62% of ball possession, 3 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, 1 big chance created, and 87% of the correct passes. This was a game where neither team was willing to take a risk and go all-in in the attacking end, and the final score was 0-0. I would say the next two games for Napoli will be on the easier side, but the Europa League game next week against Legia Warszawa could get ugly. Osimhen is still the leading goalscorer for Napoli with 5 goals, while Insigne added 2 goals and 3 assists. Malcuit, Ounas, and Manolas are all injured. If anyone in Italy deserves the title, it’s Napoli, but they will need a lot more hard work to accomplish that, but they are definitely good enough to do it.

Bologna has had a solid season overall, but as I’ve mentioned, their current form is not great. Bologna has won only 1 of their last 6 games, while they haven’t won any of their last 2 games. In their game against Milan at home last weekend, Bologna has had only 37% of ball possession, 4 shots on goal, 4 corner kicks, 1 big chance created, ad 79% of the correct passes. Despite losing 0-2 at halftime, and despite having a player less on the field, Bologna has tied the score in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately for Bologna, they have conceded another red card, and Milan was able to score 2 more goals. Bologna ended up losing this game 2-4. Soriano and Soumaoro will miss this game because of the red cards, while there are a few more players who are injured. Musa Barrow is the leading goalscorer for Bologna with 4 goals ad 3 assists. Bologna can be a dangerous team, and no one is playing against them easily, but all the injuries, suspensions, and some other ongoing stuff are making this team average.

Bologna is still without a win this season, while Napoli has been perfect at home. We saw that Bologna can score goals, quite a few of them, but playing on the road without that many players is suicide. I’m taking Napoli at home.
