For the starter job in the Friday game, the Orioles will go with Kyle Bradish. This year Bradish is 1-4 with a 7.38 ERA.
Over on the Reds’ side, they had mixed results versus the Marlins this week. Cincinnati took wins 11-2 Monday and 5-3 in the Wednesday game, but otherwise fell 2-1 Tuesday and 7-6 in the Thursday matchup for a 2-2 split series.
As the starting pitcher for the Friday game, the Reds will go with Mike Minor. Across his nine starts so far Minor is 1-7 with a 6.65 ERA. In 46.0 innings he has 34 earned on 55 hits and 19 walks with 41 strikeouts.
PICK: I’m going to stay with Baltimore in this one. The O’s had a pretty impressive series against the Rays with a combined score of 17-10. There have been a few bumps in the road, but overall Baltimore has scored quite well lately, They should be able to find some openings versus Minor as well—he’s given up 10 earned runs over his last 14.1 innings, going 0-2 in his last three starts.
