Wisconsin vs Wake Forest 11/29/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons and the Wisconsin Badgers meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Kohl Center. Wake Forest comes into this one at 6-1 overall. The Deacons beat Hampton in their last game. As for Wisconsin, they’re 5-1 this season and fresh off a win versus USC. Wake Forest won their first four games of the year. The Deacons took out Fairfield, Georgia, Utah Valley and La Salle before a loss to LMU. Wake Forest was able to recover in game five with a win over South Carolina State. 

On Saturday versus Hampton, Wake Forest notched another victory. The Deacons scored 53 points in the first half and cruised to a 97-70 outcome. Damari Monsanto led the way on 20 points, and Cameron Hildreth tripled up on 14 points, 10 assists and 11 boards. 

Over on the Wisconsin side, they also won their first four outings of the season. Those victories came versus South Dakota, Stanford, Green Bay and Dayton. The Badgers took their first loss in game five versus Kansas 69-68. 

In last Friday’s game versus USC, the Badgers got back into the win column. Wisconsin held a 36-34 edge in the first half and a 28-25 run from there in a 64-59 win. Chucky Hepburn led the team on 17 points, and Tyler Wahl had 14 points with nine boards. 

PICK: I might try Wisconsin in this one. The Badgers nearly toppled a great Kansas team last Thursday, scoring 43 points in the second half to force overtime in the eventual loss. Wisconsin isn’t the highest-scoring team in the world (they’ve been at 68 or below in five straight games) but they’ve been pretty darn good at defense this year. It’ll be interesting to see how they match up versus Wake Forest, who has hit 68 or more points in every game so far. I like the Badgers to eke out a lower-scoring cover. Should be a fun matchup regardless.
