The Buffalo Bulls and the UConn Huskies meet in college basketball action from the XL Center on Tuesday night.

The Buffalo Bulls will be out to bounce back from a 97-62 loss to James Madison in their last game. Zid Powell added a team-high 4 steals as well in the losing effort for the Bulls.

The UConn Huskies will try to build on their 86-57 win over Boston University last time out. Adama Sanogo led the Huskies with 27 points on 12 of 15 shooting with a team-high 15 rebounds for the monstrous double-double while Tristen Newton and Nyheim Alleyne added 11 points apiece with Alleyne adding 3 threes while Newton had 6 rebounds. Alex Karaban added 10 points with 4 assists and Donovan Clingan added 10 points with 7 rebounds to cap off the scoring in double figures for UConn in the victory. Hassan Diarra also chipped in 6 points to match his team-high 6 assists in the winning effort for UConn.

Buffalo is 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games following an ATS loss and 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 5-0 in their last 5 Tuesday games. I get the reasoning for backing the Bulls as sizeable underdogs, but the problem for me is that all of Buffalo’s top production from last year is gone and the Bulls are sort of rebuilding on the fly. UConn has had some transfers themselves, but they had a good building block or two to begin with in Sanogo, Alleyne and Newton and I just think this is a bad spot for UConn.
