New Mexico vs North Dakota State 11/26/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The North Dakota State Bison and the New Mexico Lobos meet Saturday in college basketball action from the Pit. North Dakota State is fresh off a Friday evening matchup versus Northern Colorado. In that one the Bison lost by 10 points. As for New Mexico, they played Jacksonville State in their Friday game. The Lobos would go on to win by 18 points. North Dakota State had two very tough matchups right out of the gate this year. The Bison fell to Arkansas and Kansas in that pair, then lost to Pacific and Indiana State in their next two. North Dakota State got their first win Sunday versus Crown College. 

In the Northern Colorado game on Friday, North Dakota State trailed 40-27 at the break and went on to an 80-70 loss. Grant Nelson posted 31 points with seven boards and Andrew Morgan added 14 points with six rebounds.

Over on the New Mexico side, they got off to a good start in their opener versus Southern Utah with an 89-81 victory. Game two was an 80-74 win over South Alabama, and the Lobos kept it going with an 84-63 win over SMU. 

On Friday versus Jacksonville State, the Lobos got off to a great start with a 42-21 edge by halftime. New Mexico went on to post a 79-61 win. Morris Udeze logged 22 points with six rebounds, and Jamal Mashburn Jr. had 12 points with six boards. 

PICK: I’m probably sticking with New Mexico in this one. The Lobos managed to shoot 44.4 percent from the field in their Friday game. New Mexico out-rebounded Jacksonville State 45-30 and had 14 team assists. It’ll be interesting to see what the Bison offense can do here, though. North Dakota State has scored 70 or more points in each of their last four games. This should be a fairly high-total game if both teams are on point.
