Dayton vs Western Michigan 11/30/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Western Michigan Broncos and the Dayton Flyers meet Wednesday in college basketball acton from UD Arena. Western Michigan enters this game at 4-3 overall. Western Michigan kicked off their year at 2-2, beating Goshen and Houston Baptist with losses otherwise to Minnesota and Valparaiso. The Broncos would lose their next two games to Rice and Georgia Southern. 

On Saturday versus Cleveland State, Western Michigan made it three losses in a row. The Broncos scored just 19 points in the first half and limped to a 71-49 loss. Lamar Norman was the only double-digit scorer with 13 points.

Over on the Dayton side, they won their first pair of games versus Lindenwood and SMU then took a loss to UNLV. After a win over Robert Morris, the Flyers lost to Wisconsin and NC State in the next pair. 

Back on Friday versus BYU, the Flyers had a 40-24 edge at halftime. Dayton was outscored 40-24 in the second half and ended up losing 79-75 in overtime. DaRon Holmes led the team with 21 points and nine rebounds. 

PICK: I’m going to try Dayton. Probably not going near this one, though. The Flyers blew a 16-point halftime lead in their matchup with BYU and ended up losing in a rough outcome. Dayton has now lost three straight and failed to score more than 64 points in five straight—not including overtime. Wester Michigan isn’t looking much better over the last two games. The Broncos have scored a combined 106 points in that pair. Dayton seems the lesser of two evils here, but it’s probably not worth messing with.
