The West Virginia Mountaineers and Oklahoma Sooners clash Saturday in week 11 Big 12 college football action from Milan Puskar Stadium. Oklahoma is coming off a matchup with Baylor. In that one the Sooners lost by three. As for West Virginia, they played Iowa State over the weekend. The Mountaineers would go on to fall by 17 points. Oklahoma won their first three games of the year versus UTEP, Kent State and Nebraska, then fell to Kansas State, TCU and Texas in the following three. The Sooners would then beat Kansas and Iowa State over the next two weeks.

In the Baylor game, the Sooners took a 24-21 deficit into halftime. Oklahoma scored a couple times in the second but ultimately lost 38-35. QB Dillon Gabriel finished with 261 yards, two scores and three picks. Eric Gray rushed 23 times for 106 yards and two TDs.

Over on the West Virginia side, they started out at 2-2 with wins over Towson and Virginia Tech following losses to Pitt and Kansas. The Mountaineers went 1-3 over the next four games with losses to Texas, Texas Tech and TCU.

Matched up against Iowa State on Saturday, West Virginia trailed by three points going into the final quarter. The Mountaineers were outscored 21-7 from there in a 31-14 loss. Quarterback JT Daniels had 81 yards, one TD and one pick. Justin Johnson rushed 12 times for 48 yards.

The Sooners are 7-3 ATS versus a team with a losing record and 1-5 ATS in their last six overall. Oklahoma is 1-5-1 ATS in the last seven conference games.

Meanwhile, WVU is 11-4-1 ATS in their last 16 at home and 2-5 ATS in their last seven on turf. The Mountaineers are 1-4 ATS in their last five in November.

PICK: I’m staying with Oklahoma. The Sooners lost to a pretty good Baylor team in their last outing, but there’s plenty to be hopeful about. Oklahoma notched 499 total yards, 29 first downs and a nice 10-of-15 rate on third-down tries. Oklahoma suffered from their eight penalties and three picks, though.

As for West Virginia, they came up with just 200 total yards, 11 first downs and 2-of-12 on third-down tries in their loss to Iowa State so there’s plenty to work on this week. I don’t think the Mountaineers will rally themselves well enough to cover here.
