The Texas A&M Aggies and Appalachian State Mountaineers do battle Saturday in a week 2 college football matchup from Kyle Field.

The Appalachian State Mountaineers will look to rebound from their thrilling and heartbreaking 63-61 loss to North Carolina last time out. Chase Brice has thrown for 361 yards, 6 touchdowns and an interception on 69.4% passing while Nate Noel has a team-high 116 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns. Camerun Peoples also has 65 rushing yards and Daetrich Harrington’s got 48 rushing yards. Deshaun Davis has a team-high 6 catches for 72 yards and Christan Horn has 59 receiving yards while Kaedin Robinson, Henry Pearson and Dalton Stroman all have 40+ receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Andrew Parker has a team-high 8 total tackles while Nick Hampton has 2.5 sacks this season.

The Texas A&M Aggies will hope to build on their 31-0 win over Sam Houston State in their last game. Haynes King’s thrown for 364 yards, 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions on 64.5% passing while Devon Achane has rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown. Ainias Smith has a team-high 6 catches for 164 yards and 2 scores while Yulkeith Brown has 68 receiving yards with a score and Evan Stewart’s got 57 receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Antonio Johnson and Lebbeus Overton each have a sack and Jardin Gilbert has an interception this season.

Appalachian State is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games while the under is 4-2 in their last 6 road games. Texas A&M is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games while the over is 4-2 in their last 6 home games.

I get the case to be made here for either side, as App State looked good offensively but the defense was torn to shreds, and Texas A&M looked good against a lesser opponent, and you wonder if App State has any points left in the tank for this one. I’m still leaning towards the over though, as I think App State’s offensive outburst was legitimate and I think they’ll give A&M some trouble. I think A&M gets theirs as well, but I’m not trusting them with this kind of number. Give me the over in another entertaining game.
