The UCLA Bruins and USC Trojans clash Saturday in week 12 Pac-12 college football action from the Rose Bowl.

The USC Trojans will look to build on their 55-17 beatdown win over Colorado in their last game. Caleb Williams has thrown for 3,010 yards, 31 touchdowns and 2 interceptions on 63.7% passing while Travis Dye has a team-high 884 rushing yards and 9 touchdowns this season, but is out indefinitely with an injury. Jordan Addison has a team-high 40 catches for 587 receiving yards to lead USC’s receiving group along with 7 touchdowns while Tahj Washington has 33 grabs for 510 yards and 4 touchdowns and Mario Williams has 493 receiving yards and 4 scores. Brenden Rice also has 336 receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Shane Lee has a team-high 56 total tackles including 38 solo tackles while Tuli Tuipulotu has a team-high 11.5 sacks. Nick Figueroa has 4.5 sacks and as a unit, USC has 15 interceptions and 32 sacks this season.

The UCLA Bruins will be out to bounce back from a 34-28 loss to Arizona as 20-point favorites in their last game. Dorian Thompson-Robinson’s thrown for 2,385 yards, 20 touchdowns and 4 interceptions on 71% passing while also rushing for 463 yards and 7 scores. Zach Charbonnet has a team-high 1,145 rushing yards with 13 TDs while Jake Bobo has a team-high 651 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns while Kazmeir Allen has a team-high 43 grabs for 331 yards and eight other Bruins have at least 100 receiving yards this season. On defense, Mo Osling III has a team-high 72 total tackles while Laiatu Latu has a team-high 8 sacks and Grayson Murphy has 5 sacks as well. UCLA’s defense also has 9 interceptions as a group this season.

USC is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games overall. UCLA is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 4-12 ATS in their last 16 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 games against a team with a winning record.

I get the case to be made either way here, but I’m leaning towards UCLA at home. It took USC a while to get going against Colorado, and once they did they were fine, but they also suffered a big loss, losing Travis Dye for what looks like the rest of the season. UCLA has had their ups and downs defensively, and I think USC will score their fair share here, but I just feel like UCLA’s playmakers are the healthier group here and the Bruins are more likely to make the key play late to get themselves the win. I’ll back the Bruins at home here.
