The UCLA Bruins and Arizona Wildcats meet Saturday in week 11 PAC-12 college football action from the Rose Bowl. Arizona is coming off a matchup versus Utah. In that game the Wildcats fell in blowout fashion. As for UCLA, they played Arizona State over the weekend. The Bruins would go on to win by 14 in a high-scoring game. Arizona went 2-2 over their first four games, losing to Mississippi State and Cal while otherwise beating San Diego State and North Dakota State. The Wildcats would beat Colorado then fall to Oregon, Washington and USC over the next four.

In the Utah matchup, the Wildcats faced a 31-10 deficit after three quarters. Arizona posted 10 cosmetic points from there in a 45-20 loss. Quarterback Jayden de Laura managed 159 yards, and Michael Wiley rushed six times for 64 yards.

Over on the UCLA side, they won their first six games this year. Those victories came versus Bowling Green, Alabama State, South Alabama, Colorado, Washington and Utah. After a loss to Oregon, the Bruins took out Stanford in the next outing.

Matched up against Arizona State, UCLA managed to score 14 points in each of the first three quarters on the way to a 50-36 victory. QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson posted 169 yards, two scores and a pick (alongside 10 carries for 120 yards and two touchdowns). Kazmeir Allen led the rush with 137 yards and a TD.

The Wildcats are 4-1 ATS in the last five after an ATS loss and 2-5 ATS in their last seven in November. Arizona is 10-26 ATS in their last 36 road games.
Meanwhile, the Bruins are 7-0 ATS in the last seven in November and 5-0 ATS in their last five on grass. UCLA is 11-0 ATS versus a team with a losing record.

PICK: I’m staying with UCLA. The Bruins gave up quite a bit of offense to Arizona State in their last game: 468 total yards (349 passing), 30 first downs and 35:42 in time of possession. That said, the Bruins were able to cruise to the win thanks to 571 yards, 24 first downs and 9-of-11 on third-down tries themselves.

As for Arizona, they had a rough game versus Utah back on Saturday, posting 387 total yards, 14 first downs, 3-of-11 on third-down tries and four lost fumbles. Facing UCLA is going to be yet another challenge, and I don’t think the Wildcats will keep the pace for the entire game.
