The Iowa State Cyclones and the TCU Horned Frogs meet in Big 12 college football action from Amon G. Carter Stadium on Saturday.

The Iowa State Cyclones will look to rebound from a 14-10 loss to Texas Tech in their last outing. Hunter Dekkers has thrown for 2,938 yards, 18 touchdowns and 13 interceptions on 67% passing while Jirehi Block leads the Cyclones in rushing with 445 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns. Xavier Hutchinson leads the Cyclones in receiving with 105 grabs for 1,160 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns while Jaylin Neal has 54 grabs for 569 receiving yards and Dimitri Stanley has 383 receiving yards as well on the year. On defense, Iowa State has combined for 18 sacks and 7 interceptions as a unit so far this season.

The TCU Horned Frogs will try to remain unbeaten, improving to 11-0 with a 29-28 win over Baylor last time out. Max Duggan has thrown for 2,858 yards, 26 touchdowns and 3 interceptions on 66.2% passing while Kendre Miller has a team-high 1,188 rushing yards with 14 touchdowns and Emari Demercado has 433 rushing yards and 5 scores as well. Quentin Johnston leads TCU’s receiving group with 49 grabs for 764 yards and 5 touchdowns while Taye Barber has 567 receiving yards and Derius Davis and Savion Williams each have 300+ receiving yards this season. On defense, Johnny Hodges has a team-high 73 total tackles while Dee Winters has a team-high 6.5 sacks and Bud Clark has 4 interceptions this season.

Iowa State is 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 games following an ATS loss. TCU is 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games in November.

I get the case some people may make that TCU could be in for a letdown here after another emotional and narrow win to get one step closer to the national playoffs, and it’s also now 10 straight games without a bye for TCU so you have to wonder if some of these guys are getting exhausted. However, TCU can see the finish line, and they know they can ill afford a slip up here if they’re going to hold on to a top-4 spot in the playoffs. Not only that, this is a solid matchup considering it’ll allow TCU to flex some offensive muscle against an Iowa State team that likely won’t be able to match score for score with TCU. I’ll lay the points with the Horned Frogs in this one.
