The Wyoming Cowboys and San Jose State Spartans square off Saturday in week 5 MWC college football action from Jonah Field at War Memorial Field.

The San Jose State Spartans will look to build on their 34-6 win over Western Michigan last time out to climb to 2-1 on the year. Chevan Cordeiro has thrown for 764 yards and 3 touchdowns on 57.1% passing while Kairee Robinson has a team-high 140 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns. Justin Lockhart has a team-high 192 receiving yards while Elijah Cooks has 190 receiving yards and Charles Ross has 138 receiving yards as well on the year. On defense, Kyle Harmon has a team-high 23 total tackles while San Jose State has 4 sacks and 5 interceptions as a team this season.

The Wyoming Cowboys will try to bounce back from a 38-24 loss to BYU to fall to 3-2 on the year. Andrew Peasley’s thrown for 746 yards, 5 touchdowns and 2 interceptions on 58.5% passing while Titus Swen’s leading the Cowboys on the ground with 394 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns. Joshua Cobbs has a team-high 244 receiving yards on 22 catches while three other Cowboys each have 100+ receiving yards this season. On defense, Easton Gibbs has a team-high 35 total tackles including 20 solo tackles while Shae Suiaunoa has a team-high 21 solo tackles and a pair of sacks. Oluwaseyi Omotosho has a team-high 3 sacks and DeVonne Harris also has a pair of sacks this season.

San Jose State is 14-5-1 ATS in their last 20 games against a team with a winning record and 13-6-1 ATS in their last 20 road games while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games overall. Wyoming is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall while the over is 5-0 last 5 games following a loss.

I fully understand how you could vouch for either side in this game as San Jose State’s played well for much of the season even in the loss to Auburn, and Wyoming’s performed capably themselves in a lot of spots this season. However, I’m looking at the under here as I’m not expecting San Jose State to run it up here and Wyoming tends to play to the style of their opponent. And with San Jose State going 3-0 to the under this season, I’m going to look at the under here as well.
