The Clemson Tigers and Miami Hurricanes meet Saturday in week 12 ACC college football action from Clemson Memorial Stadium. Miami is fresh off a matchup versus Georgia Tech. In that game the Hurricanes took a blowout victory. As for Clemson, they played Louisville over the weekend. The Tigers ended up with a big win there. Miami went 2-3 over their first five games, beating Bethune-Cookman and Southern Miss before losses to Texas A&M, Middle Tennessee and North Carolina. The Hurricanes were 2-2 over the next four outings with losses to Duke and Florida State.

In the Georgia Tech game over the weekend, the Hurricanes were up 14-7 going into the final quarter. Miami scored 21 points from there in a 35-14 win. QB Jacurri Brown finished with 136 yards and three touchdowns, while Jaylan Knighton had 118 yards and a score.

Over on the Clemson side, they opened up the year with an eight-game win streak versus Georgia Tech, Furman, LA Tech, Wake Forest, NC State, Boston College, Florida State and Syracuse. The Tigers took their first loss to Notre Dame on November 5.

Last weekend against Louisville, Clemson managed a 17-7 halftime lead. The Tigers scored in every quarter during an eventual 31-16 win. QB DJ Uiagalelei managed 185 yards and a touchdown. Phil Mafah led the rush with 106 yards and a score.

The Hurricanes are 1-5 ATS in the last six conference games and 1-8 ATS in their last nine on grass. Miami is 0-4 ATS versus a team with a winning record.

Meanwhile, the Tigers are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 conference games and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 in November. Clemson is 4-9 ATS in their last 13 at home.

PICK: I might try the Hurricanes in this one. Miami put up a good game versus Georgia Tech over the weekend, notching 353 total yards (217 rushing), 22 first downs, zero turnovers and 7-of-12 on third-down tries. It was a nice bounce-back after the blowout loss to Florida State.

As for Clemson, they took care of business against Louisville but left a lot to be desired in some areas. The Tigers coughed up three fumbles and went just 4-of-13 on third downs. If Miami plays great football I think they can hang around with Clemson.
