The Army Black Knights and UConn Huskies square off Saturday in college football action from Michie Stadium.

The UConn Huskies will look to build on their three-game win streak after a 36-33 upset win over Liberty last time out. Zion Turner’s thrown for 1,126 yards, 9 touchdowns and 5 interceptions on 60.9% passing while Devontae Houston leads the Huskies on the ground with 455 rushing yards this season. Victor Rosa has 449 rushing yards as well with a team-high 8 touchdowns while Nathan Carter has 405 rushing yards and Robert Burns has 355 rushing yards as well this year. Aaron Turner leads the Huskies with 47 catches for 420 receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Jackson Mitchell leads UConn with 117 total tackles including a team-high 47 solo tackles while the UConn defense has 25 sacks and 12 interceptions as a unit this season.

The Army Black Knights will try to rebound from back-to-back losses after a 10-9 loss to Troy in their last game. Cade Ballard has thrown for 335 yards and a pair of scores with a 51.4% completion percentage while Tyhier Tyler’s thrown for 234 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception on 46.2% passing. Tyler leads Army in rushing as well with 430 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns while Tyson Riley has 396 rushing yards and Tyrell Robinson has 321 rushing yards. Three more Army rushers have 200+ rushing yards as well this season. Isaiah Alston has a team-high 246 receiving yards coming on 15 catches  while Ay’Jaun Marshall has 208 receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Leo Lowin has a team-high 74 total tackles including 47 solo tackles and Army’s defense as a whole has 15 sacks and 6 interceptions this season.

UConn is 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games following an ATS win while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games overall. Army is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games in November and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 games following an ATS win.

I get the case to be made for Army being favored at home, but I’m sticking with UConn in this spot. This Army has been solid offensively more often than not this season, but the defense has been gashed, especially on the ground which is odd for a team running an option offense because it’s what the defense normally sees in practice. Either way, spirits are high for UConn and this Husky team is motivated to keep winning games to improve their standing for a higher-profile bowl game. Not sure they win outright, but I’ll take the points with UConn to be safe.
